What a quaint lodge this is. It is a wonderful place to visit in Oregon. It seems like something Teddy Roosevelt would have liked. There are heavy timbers and art deco fashioned lights in the common area of the lodge. There is a sturdy feel to this lodge.
Here is a look at the front entrance to the lodge.
Here is my chalet number 10. It had 8 bunk beds, the table and chairs, and a sink. What a great place to bring your family during ski season.
There are many works of art around the lodge. I even like this compass.
Behind the lodge is the top of Mount Hood. The lodge sits at approximately 6000 feet high on the mountain.
One other neat thing this lodge has is a mini museum of artifacts, such as this replica of an early room. Near this room is a small library where they play a video of Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicating this lodge. It is very interesting to watch. The lodge is an experience not to be missed. At least come for the day and see the lodge.
